Objective
In this guide I will show you how to install Tor Browser on your Windows computer.
Using Tor Browser you can prevent your internet service provider to surveil your online activity. With Tor Browser you can route around the internet censorship of your local government, and exercise your right to free information. Lastly, using Tor Browser you can reach hidden websites and hidden services that live completely on the onion network.
Setup
Get the software
On your internet browser visit https://www.torproject.org/download/ address. Click on the Download for Windows button.

On the pop-up window click on the Save File button.

Wait for the download process to complete.
 |
Get back to the window on your internet browser, and download the signature file for Tor Browser.
 |
On the pop-up window click on the OK button.
 |
In order to verify the signature, you will need the signing key, as well. For that, on your internet browser, visit https://torproject.org/tbb/how-to-verify-signature/ address. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and, under the Workaround header, click on the download and use this public key link.

On the pop-up window, make sure the Save file option is selected, and then click on the OK button.

After all the downloads complete, you should see following files under your Downloads folder.

Now, we will verify the signature file for Tor Browser. In order to do that, start the Kleopatra program that you installed via gpg4win. When Kleopatra starts, you should see a window similar to the one below. On that window, click on the Import button on the top row menu.

On the new window, navigate to the Downloads folder of your computer, and select the signing key of the Tor Browser developers. In order to locate the correct file, you might need to switch to the Any files option. Pick the signing key file click on the Open button.

If the import is successful, you should see a window like the on below. Click on the OK button.

Now you are back on the Kleopatra window. You should see the detailed info of the key we just imported. Now, click on the Decrypt/Verify button on the top row menu.

On the file picker window select the signature file for the Tor Browser. Inside the file picker, the Type of this file should be seen as Open PGP Text File. Select the file and then click on the Open button.

Once the signature verification process completes, you should see a window as below. On that we window, the important information is on the line that begins with, Verified tor-browser-windows-x86_64-portable-[...]. This tells us that the signature file for Tor Browser got verified, and the program file is legitimate.

Install the software
Navigate to your Downloads folder. Find the Tor Browser program file. On it, with your mouse, Right click > Open.

On the window that pops up, choose the installer language, and then click on the OK button.

Leave the destination folder in its default setting, and then click on the Install button.

Wait for the installation process to complete.

After the install completes, on the new pop-up window, make sure to enable Run Tor Browser option, and then click on the Finish button.

Run the software
When Tor Browser first runs, it will present you with the following window below. On this window, enable the option, Always connect automatically. And then, click on the Connect button.

On the next window, wait for the Tor Browser to connect to the Tor network.
 |
After the conenction establishes, you should see a window like below. On that window, in order to visit your first hidden website, enable the Onionize slider option.

After you input a search term, click on the Enter button.
 |
The webpage that opens is the DuckDuckGo search engine on the Tor
network. The onion lock symbol on the address bar shows that the
current page is a Tor hidden webpage. This is also the case whenever
you visit a webpage with .onion suffix.

Lastly, on the address bar, enter https://www.torproject.org. Tor Browser will notify you whenever it detects a clearnet webpage also also has an onion address. In order to be automatically redirected to the onion mirrors of clearnet pages, click on the Always Prioritize Onions button.

That way, you will be directed to the Tor hidden webpage mirror of the Tor Project.
